That was the best leash, too. Damn.

A mile into our walk, Torg poops. I pick up the poop (which contained an impressive number of tiny foam beads). As I am tying the bag off, he is busy doing this.

You can imagine how much fun the mile walk back home was.

  1. Want some assvice? Don't use the retractable leashes. It teaches them that if they pull, they get more space. My boyfriend is a dog trainer and works at a dog training/boarding/daycare facility and they use, recommend, and sell these kind of leashes.

  2. See, I use the retractable because it's the only way I can keep the leash short enough for him not to cut the stroller off/walk out in the street/stop to sniff something and yank my arm out of the socket. I keep it short almost all the time, and we use a regular one when we've got him out without the stroller or if both of us are there and one of us can take the dog and the other can take the baby.

The nylon leash we have is too bulky to wrap around my hand enough times to keep him close. The rescue we got him from uses the slip leads too, so we may try one of those, or I may just get a nylon leash that also has the loop up closer to the clip.
